(June 2006) Lynx version 3.2 is now available to download from the website!

A number of new updates have been made available within Lynx 3.2.  They are now available to download from this website as an update to an already pre-loaded version of Lynx 3.0.  Lynx 2.0 users will not be able to update to Lynx 3.0 without a separate CD.

Some great new features have been added to Lynx 3.2:-

1.  New text engine, allows each word to be manipulated individually, including colour, size, font and emphasis
2.   Text can now also be rotated without image quality loss and it can also be re-manipulated within the rotation field as often as required, again without quality loss
3.   New crop tool allows any image to be cropped and manipulated to suit the lesson being developed
4.   New save and continue icons allow for easy choices when creating or presenting
5.   New languages have been produced, including Lithuanian, Polish, Danish and shortly Arabic
6.   Additional languages also allow the Windows keyboards to be used within each language.  Lynx intuitively chooses the correct keyboard in each language as it has been loaded into the Windows program of the PC.

(June 2005) Lynx version 3.0 is now fully re-written and launched

Having re-written Lynx with a fantastic windows look and feel, it is even easier to install and to operate.  Everyone uses Windows today and we are all comfortable with the tools available to us.  Lynx is no different and will immediately give you the feeling that you have used it before, especially as all the great features of Lynx 2.71 are still available within Lynx 3.0.

Lynx has also now been created for use in several languages.  Not only can you choose the language you want when loading; you can interchange once loaded.  The languages available to choose from are:-

English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Turkish

If you wish to change from one language to another, it is as simple as clicking a button and then you can change back again when you wish to change back.  This is a fantastic bonus for language schools or conferences, when perhaps you would like to use the language option for short periods of time!

With the new Lynx you can continue to choose where to position the toolbar, only now there are several options available to you.  Every toolbar within the Lynx lesson book is moveable and can be set up as a preference wherever you wish.

As always, Lynx 3.0 has the ability to be used on all Interactive Whiteboards, so if you have a range of boards within your facility, you can be sure everyone is confident with one piece of software.  It even means you can share lesson plans and presentations with your colleagues;  you don't have to worry about what software they were created in and where you can use them!

If you have Primary school children or people with seeing difficulties, Lynx 2.71 will work perfectly alongside the new Version 3.0, so you don't have to worry about choosing between the two - just run them concurrently!
